Sunday Women's Community

Paul’s Early Letters

The apostle Paul was one of God’s greatest servants and was used by Him to boldly proclaim the good news of the coming Kingdom of God to the world in the first century and, through Paul’s epistles, to people in all ages. Sunday Women’s Community will study four of Paul’s early letters: 1 and 2 Thessalonians, Philippians, and Ephesians. These epistles are relevant for us today as they have much to say about the nature of salvation, the nature of man, the nature of God and His way of working in the world, and not just about a situation in a local church. As Paul encourages us in Ephesians 4:25, “Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.” All women are invited to join us for a time of study, fellowship, and service.

A Study of Isaiah

Isaiah prophesied one of the clearest expressions of the gospel in the Old Testament. As it was a warning for the Jews of 700BC, it is a clarion call for this generation today. The first chapter opens with the people of God having turned away from God and failed to follow His laws. Yet God mercifully holds out hope to this hardhearted and unrepentant people, offering cleansing of sins and the blessings that flow from faith and obedience in Him.

Isaiah’s message is salvation  lies only with God. The only question-then and now-is will we accept His offer?

A Study of 1 Peter 2

Please join us as we study verse-by-verse through 1 Peter 2 gazing at the wonder of the Gospel. What Christ has done for us is stunning, and living in obedience to Him is a rightful response. Following along with the 2019 Women of the Word schedule will give us opportunity to take a few verses per week, and memorize the truth of God’s love and grace. Incorporating other Scriptures will help us learn to live with thankful hearts focused on God’s ways in order to better understand His lovingkindness (Psalm 107:43). I can’t wait to see how He will help us apply this to our everyday lives as vessels revealing His amazing grace.
